Douglas Glover is the author of three short story collections and three novels, including the critically acclaimed The Life and Times of Captain N. (Alfred Knopf) hailed by The Chicago Tribune as one of the best books of 1993. Glover's book of short stories A Guide to Animal Behaviour was nominated for the 1990 Governor-General's Award, Canada's highest literary prize. His stories have frequently been anthologized, notably in The Best American Short Stories and Best Canadian Stories. He is host of The Book Show, a weekly program of literary interviews produced at WAMC-FM in Albany, New York, and syndicated nationally on National Public Radio and around the world on the Armed Forces Network.
